Bloomington Youth Soccer Club

Share your talents with BYSC! Our club needs many volunteers each year to ensure the club runs smoothly and is a great experience for our players. We encourage you to do your part in volunteering your time to support club activities. Some examples of volunteer positions are listed below:

• Distributing marketing materials to recruit players (at Back to School Nights or other locales)
• Assisting in activities at club events (Summer Appreciation, Fall Tryouts, Spring Academy, Uniform Sizing, Annual Meeting, etc.)
• Setting up (spring) and taking down (fall) of field nets
• Participating in sub-committees to make recommendations to the Board (Uniform selection, Marketing efforts, etc.)
• Working at our annual tournament in June! (this is where most of our members help out)

BYSC has a volunteer policy which requires each family in our traveling program to volunteer at least 5 hours (per calendar year). The volunteer hours can be performed by any member of the family as long as the activity selected is appropriate for the age/maturity level of the person. If a family wants or needs to opt out of this requirement, it can do so by paying the buyout fee of $50.00 by April 1 (this can be paid on-line through our Registration website or by sending a check to BYSC Registrar, Bloomington Youth Soccer Club, P.O. Box 386003, Bloomington, MN 55438-Please indicate you are choosing the Volunteer Buyout on your check)

Questions about volunteering? Please contact the BYSC Volunteer Coordinator volunteers@bysc.org or join us at our monthly board meeting to share your interest in volunteering. The meetings are generally held the first Sunday evening of every month at the Bloomington Civic Plaza.
