BYSC DOC Transition Plan

Hello BYSC Families,

In February, I shared the news with you that Sean McKuras had resigned his position as Director of Coaching with BYSC to pursue an opportunity in his home community of Woodbury. Since that time, the BYSC Board of Directors met to talk about both the short term and long term needs of the club with regard to Sean's departure. Over the next few months, there will be several discussions and opportunities for members to provide input on the direction the club is looking to go with the coaching and player development roles. In the short term, I am pleased to announce the plans that we now have in place to move the club forward as we approach the upcoming spring/summer season.

With the approval of the BYSC Board, I was given the authority to fill the duties that Sean performed through the end of August with four candidates who had stepped forward to ask how they could help. This allows us time to consider what direction is best for the club while at the same time ensuring that the day-to-day duties of the director of coaching are being done. Below is a short summary of the individuals and their roles beginning March 1.

I am very excited to share this news with you as these four individuals have demonstrated their willingness to help us keep the momentum going that Sean helped us generate. You will be seeing these folks more and more over the next few weeks. As an organization, BYSC will continue to provide updates on the long-term strategy for the club.  If you have questions or would like to provide feedback on the direction the club goes long term, please feel free to drop me an email

Thank you for your continued support of BYSC.
